Meta released Muse Wonder on October 12, 2026. It costs $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. That's the exact price of Claude Opus 5.5. On the independent Artificial Analysis ranking, Opus scores 58, Wonder scores 52, and Wonder ranks fourth.
Meta also shipped Muse Wonder Full, which it says is stronger. You cannot buy it by the token. It requires a Muse Code subscription at $50 or $200 a month. Meta published benchmark results showing Wonder Full ahead of Opus on some tasks, but the company hasn't released the better model to independent testers.
What you can do with this: nothing yet. If you already use Claude or ChatGPT and they work, you have no reason to switch. If you're paying for Opus and need to cut costs, compare Sonnet 5.5 first. It costs half as much and also scores higher than Wonder on the index.
What to keep in your hands: check which mode you're in before you paste anything. Meta's Muse Code has a Contributor setting that lets the company train on what you submit. The API does not train on your data, but the coding tool does unless you turn it off. The setting only affects future submissions, so switch it before your first prompt if you work with client files, contracts, or financial records.
